Ifa Raziah won RM50,000

Ifa Raziah won her RM50,000 suit against a local distribution company Sain Group Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SGSB). According to Ifa Raziah, the company slandered her in a local weekly tabloid Mingguan Warta Perdana. Judge Jagjit Singh Bant Singh made the judgement. Ifa Raziah (Saripah Raziah Mustapha) did not attend the hearing as she had a fever. She was represented by her lawyer, Shamsul Anuar Kamarudin. Ifa Raziah's husband, Muhd. Yani Abdul Rahman expressed his satisfaction with the verdict. According to the Judge, the Court agreed to the plaintif's claims of RM50,000 as a compensation to their lost of reputation and tarnished image due to the said articles.

Saved RM500,000 by Safura

Singer Safura Yaacob drops her 10 years old defamation charges againts Ifa Raziah recently. Attorney Nicholas Netto who represents Safura Yaacob says that his client retract the appeal for the defamation charges that was made 5 years ago. Ifa Raziah was charged for defaming Safura Yaacob in two articles in an entertainment magazine in year 1998. Ifa Raziah, or her real name Saripah Raziah Mustapa, 33, was very pleased with the result of the case, and it’s finally over. Ifa Raziah hopes that her relationship with Safura Yaacob, a famous actress nowadays would be better in the future. If Safura Yaacob won the case, she will have a RM500,000 compensation from Ifa Raziah, who were claimed to be telling the media that she was sick because of Safura Yaacob wrongdoings.
